03 The brief
Turn promotions into a reason to come back.
Two FMCG brands, one goal: use gamification, promotions and partner rewards to improve customer experience and engagement. Daha Daha (“More & More”) is Coca-Cola Turkey’s main mobile app for this. Algida ile Kazan (“Win with Algida”) adds a twist: you can also order Algida products from a grocery store near you.
04 Daha Daha
From user flows to a component library.
I designed the mobile app and its responsive web interfaces as UI/UX designer.

UI and components
An advertising agency made the logo and identity: four colours for Coca-Cola’s four main products, with typography from Coca-Cola’s global standards. Within those rules I designed a brand-new UI concept and a detailed component library.
The app had to run on Coca-Cola’s own servers and infrastructure, especially for collecting and storing data. Those systems had limits, so the process had to stay agile. I worked with the development team from day one, so we could find solutions without hurting the experience.

05 Beyond the app
After launch I adapted the flows to a responsive web platform to reach more people. It covers most of the app’s main functions within what browsers allow, works like a progressive web app, and includes a map of nearby partner stores.
To keep things consistent after handover, I wrote a guideline for future content creators covering UI elements, typography and new visuals like campaign banners and gift key visuals.

06 Algida ile Kazan
Two personas, two apps, one system.
With the consumer app you collect points, order products or gifts from nearby grocery stores, and get codes for digital gifts. The store app is for grocery store owners and managers. The two apps had to look consistent and work together as one system.
Designing for two personas and keeping both apps in step was one of the biggest challenges. The store app especially had to be easy to understand and keep guiding the owner to the next task, so promos and orders run without a hitch.

Daha Daha went live on iOS and Android and was promoted countrywide with TV and social media commercials. Despite its technical limits and a few minor flaws, users found it easy to use and lively.
Both Algida apps went live and became the brand’s main promo app in Turkey. Younger users took to the promo features, and engagement went up significantly after the release.
